This is a small, independently run site. This page describes what actually happens with your data right now, not a generic template.
Comments
If you leave a comment, WordPress stores the comment text along with the name, email address, and IP address you submitted it with, so the comment can be moderated. If you tick the “save my name and email” box, a cookie is set in your browser for that purpose only. WordPress also sends a hash of your email address to Gravatar to check whether it matches a Gravatar account, so your profile picture can show next to your comment if you have one — that’s a core WordPress behavior, not something we added. We don’t use comment data for anything beyond running the comment section, and we don’t sell it.
Analytics and tracking
As of this writing, this site does not run any analytics or visitor-tracking software. No browsing data is currently collected beyond standard web server logs.
Cloudflare
This site’s traffic is routed through Cloudflare, a network and security provider. Cloudflare processes standard connection information, such as IP address, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. That’s Cloudflare acting as our network provider, not tracking we run ourselves.
Third-party advertising (coming later)
This site does not currently run any advertising. We do plan to add third-party advertising in the future. Once that happens, those ad providers may set their own cookies or use other tracking technology on this site. This page will be updated before that goes live, naming the providers involved and what they collect.
Changes to this page
If what this site actually does changes — new advertising, new tools, new data collected — this page will be updated to match, not left as boilerplate.
